"That sounds so fun," Lennon said. "I'm actually a little jealous. I mean, we had fun too but there was no innertube." When things weren't horrible like the other day, he could imagine that most of them might enjoy hanging in the river, swimming and floating on a innertube. There were some people he couldn't imagine liking that, but he probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people anyway.
He lifted the brush from the sill and extended his legs, then stretched out over them, sighing as something in his back popped. "I need a cushion to sit on," he observed. Most likely he just needed to shift positions occasionally, but he always got caught up in it when he was drawing or painting.
