“No, it’s active! But the pool where you jump is gets shallow during certain months. The falls is like a mile long or something like that. If we ever get access to the internet again, I’ll show you.” Ivy was imagining herself soaking in that pool already, listening to the thunder of the falls, in the sun, rainbow mist flying all over the damn place. God, she missed her freedom. She missed the internet and going wherever she wanted to, sleeping with whoever piqued her interest, enjoying her life the way she wanted to.
She was glad Scotty was face down because she was frowning now. At least for a moment. Then she shook it off and worked harder on the tense muscle above his shoulder blade. “You’ve got a point about the tension. But at least it’s warm here, right? No snow. Not much rain so far. You could go for a run and work off some of the pent up emotion. Swim in the river, maybe. If it’s warm enough, anyway. It was pretty cold when we were fishing. Don’t start jumping out of trees, but at least it feels like you can be pretty active here and not stuck inside.”
