Chase frowned, though it was more thoughtful than concerned now that there was a problem on the table he actually had experience working with. "Traps won't really work outside. No real choke points, and I don't want other people getting hurt if they forget where things are. Plus," he looked over the back of the couch at Marco, his tone pointed, not accusatory. "I only ever got people, not anything send by Them. But I made things for windows before. For my room and for Cecilia. And I've got my tools. If we have materials here I can try some stuff. Just might take a while if we want all the bedroom windows covered. I don't want to do the main windows though. The cats sit on the sills."
Oliver had been hoping that the change in subject might stick, at least for a little while, but he couldn't blame Marco for worrying. Listening to Chase also got his mind working on what he knew how to do. "If we have the materials, and we can process some of the trees around here well enough, we might be able to swing some kind of covered walkway between the barn and the house. That would take a heck of a lot of work, though."
