This was the perfect thing for Lennon to be doing right now.
After he'd left Chase and Kiley's room he'd marched furiously to his own room to put on deodorant, change his shirt and grab a different hoodie to tie around his middle. Then he'd gone down to the kitchen to message Tobias and cram some bread with butter and honey into his face. Was he hangry? Was that why he'd reacted so strongly to what Kiley had said? Or it could have been that he hadn't slept that much, but then who had? He wasn't much inclined to figure it out right then, so he put it aside as best he could. He would have been too irritated to drop off to sleep anyway, so it was good that he could do something useful. Hopefully they'd all make it back alive-- 90% joking there, because daylight felt reasonably safe --and he could crash then. It would be even better if they could also get some clue as to where their missing housemates were.
Once they happened upon the items Ivy and Chase had lost, Lennon scooped up Chase's hammer and secured it in one of his belt loops. He didn't have any kind of weapon with him so it was good to have it handy, he thought.
"I don't think they got out to the barrier," he said, rubbing at the back of his neck instinctively. "None of us got shocked yet." He wished he had a better idea of what they'd gone through; Scotty'd been scream-typing about monsters but that hadn't told him much. Since he hadn't gotten to say more than a few words to Chase.
