Felix was tired. While he was used to getting up to things and running on only a handful of hours of actual sleep, vigorously fooling around for as long as they had warranted a little more snooze time. He supposed it was partially his own fault. No one made him stay up to terrorize Scotty for the fun of it.
Having someone else in his room, particularly a restless someone, didn't help. Every time Lennon shifted too much, or got up, his senses lit up even as his eyes stayed closed. This was why he never really liked to share a room. Shitty roommates, or tricks he made the mistake of dozing off beside trying to get funny with him, being terrorized by his grandmother. Hell, everything about Mount-fucking-Zenith. He couldn't remember the last time he slept truly soundly without getting plastered first.
He didn't show any signs of actual consciousness until Lennon left for the bathroom, stealing his phone from the night stand to check what time it was, and rolling his eyes. He'd gotten maybe two and a half hours of nonconsecutive sleep, and he knew for sure that he was going to feel it later. And he had to be a fucking boy scout later. He tucked his phone under his pillow, shifting to roll onto his stomach, the blanket riding down past the hem of his underwear, leaving his entire upper half exposed. Another damn thing was how warm it was with an extra person in the room. Really, it probably wasn't terrible, but after sleeping with the window cracked most nights since arriving, sealing it closed in case the tewwible monsdurs showed up was just a little extra pain in the ass. Hell, he probably wouldn't even get a handjob before they left.
He was crankly pre-coffee. He knew this. The house knew this. The TPTB knew this. And fuck it all, no one had ever shown up to his bedroom first thing in the morning with an espresso, so fuck them.
He was still and quiet again when Lennon slid back into the room, waiting for the guy to settle back into his nest before shifting, turning his head to peer into the darkness where he knew Lennon was, his voice a sleepy croak that he didn't have to fake when he spoke. "Anything new?"
