Who: Oliver & Marco When: About a quarter to 3pm Where: In the woods, but close to the lodge
The barn still wasn't clean. Nobody really expected it to get done in one day, but it was still surprising how, after a bit of work, Oliver and Marco had hardly made a dent. They'd at least started something, though, and it had resulted in finding an axe, which Oliver had seemed excited about. Marco just wondered if that was one of the things that they were supposed to find, laid out in the network messages for the past two days. He wasn't sure, and the idea had left him not long after he'd headed back to the lodge, leaving Oliver to nap and him to find something to do for the next however long.
He settled on watching one of the few movies that they had, until his phone lit up with a new message.
He was still caught up in what was happening on the network as he put on his shoes and hat and headed outside, grumbling to himself about stupid roommates and stupid choices. He tried to settle before he reached Oliver, and quickly shoved his phone into his pocket as he crossed the yard. He didn't have anything else to add, anyway. Unsatisfied and uncomfortable, he pulled his hat down over his eyebrows, so maybe that would hide his clear frustration from Oliver, if he hadn't already seen it in his messages. Going to help Oliver work some more would be good for him. Maybe the fresh air would clear his head. This was fine. This was better. Nothing to worry about out here.
He raised a hand to wave as he approached Oliver, like the guy hadn't just watched him cross the yard and fiddle with his hat. "How does this work?" he called out to his friend. "Do we chop down the trees? Because I don't want to get in the way if a tree's falling, so you've gotta tell me where to stand."
