Who: Lennon and Felix (and the as-of-yet-unnamed orange cat) Where: Main house, front porch When: late morning
Felix was more than a little elated to find that when he woke up that morning he had full camera access once more, less so about the prospect of trudging around in the damp woods again looking for who-knew-what. He decided that, unless an interesting prospect popped up, he wasn't going to. Instead, he spent a few minutes figuring out the blindspots in the camera feed in his room, then went about messing with the carpet in the corner, prying a bit up to get at the floorboards underneath. It took a little work, but he managed to get one of the boards up and stash his lockpicks, the noise emitter, and a small stash of food inside. When that was done, he showered, then headed to the main house with his keytar to see what trouble he could get into.
Not much, it turned out. The house had thinned a bit with people presumably hunting around for whatever else had been left in the woods, and Felix claimed the creepy front porch as his own for now. To be fair, the porch itself wasn't all that creepy. The furniture was mismatched and old, but in pretty good condition, all things considered. It was the boards on the windows that really put a damper on shit, particularly considering the lighting otherwise wasn't the best, and he figured if the boards were up there to keep something out, all of the other windows in the house would have been done up the same. In total he managed to free the three windows directly across from the table and couch, letting in fresh air and natural light from the dubious screens that covered them. One was intact, but the other two were in pretty poor condition, one screen torn almost completely open to the elements. It felt better, though, like some old forgotten camp rather than murder house, and he spent a few minutes studying the array of games until his eyes fell on a large, literal bucket of mixed legos and lincoln logs. With an almost childlike grin he dragged it over to the table, plopping down next to his keytar, resting upright beside him like his best gal, then dumped the whole thing out into a massive pile, starting to sort the logs back into the bucket. He contemplated starting some music on his phone, just as he had the day before, but now that he wasn't in it the sounds from the woods surrounding the house were actually kind of peaceful, nice. It could do with some birds or something, but the distant chatter of people was probably close enough.
It took him a minute to realize he wasn't actually alone on the porch, the light scattering scrape of a lone lego on the wooden floor the only indication at first that he had a visitor. Next came the curve of a fluffy orange tail, visible over the edge of the table, and Felix found himself smirking before wondering if cats were like dogs and ate just about anything.
"Shit," he muttered, leaning to reach into the bucket for one of the smaller, stumpier logs, then leaning to roll it along the floor back towards the door, hoping to distract the cat at least long enough to reclaim the much smaller lego. The cat went for it, and he managed to get the bit of bright red plastic back in his possession, and quickly scanning for more stragglers before straightening again. Part of him expected the cat to pick the block up somehow and bring it back to him, but no...that was dogs. It just stood there in front of the doorway into the house, sniffing delicately at it as if it expected it to move again. Felix figured he ought to pick it up just in case someone stepped on it. Eh, maybe. The cat seemed pretty happy with it for the moment, and who was he to take that away.
