Who: Lennon and Ivy When: morning Where: deep in the forest Status: complete
When Lennon had gone to sleep the night before, he'd been sweltering in the sheer amount of clothing he had on and he was amazed he'd slept at all. There was always the possibility they'd all been knocked out to be moved, he knew. When he awakened to the sound of his phone, he wasn't overheated or freezing, which was good, he guessed. Directly over his head was a thick canopy of trees, and as far as he could tell trees also surrounded him. "Interesting," he muttered as he picked up his phone and looked at the map.
It was kind of crazy that he had such a strong cell signal in what looked like the middle of nowhere, but he couldn't muster up much surprise. Wasn't that how it always was? The impossible suddenly became possible. He answered Oliver's check in post and then put the phone down, standing up to undress down to one layer. Everything wouldn't fit in the backpack that had been left for him, but he managed by tying a couple of things to the straps and putting a long-sleeved shirt around his waist to hang down over his ass. It worked. The pack was stuffed, but he had a reasonable amount of clothing with him, so it was all good.
Lennon picked up his phone again and saw a message from Chase, which he answered before consulting the map once more. "Okay," he said, his voice low in the eerily silent woods. "Here goes nothing." He started to walk.
