Kiley hadn't even realized that Chase hadn't seen where she and Pam had been stuck with that chicken. Mr. Pecky? Whatever his name had been. That whole experience still felt like a bit of a blur, and she preferred not to replay it in her mind if she could help it.
She waited outside, her hands shoved into the pockets of her coat. Kiley regretted not bringing what was left of her cigarettes. She breathed, watching the foggy white cloud expel into the air and disappear. Chase's voice drew her attention and she waited to see if he called for her to come help. Her brows drew together in mild confusion when he said he was going to message Oliver inside. She didn't mind being alone, but Kiley wondered if he found something that he didn't want her to see.
"Are you sure?" Kiley asked, taking a step toward the door. "Is everything okay? Did you find something?"
