"I dunno," Edwin said, sure that he could come up with a reason. It would be hypocritical to do so, though, considering he had gotten two tattoos blindly, and loved them both. Oliver wasn't even suggesting that Edwin surprise him with a design, either. He was just asking for ideas. He had to admit, even just being asked was kind of nice, easing a worry that he didn't even know that he had, that their relationship might be just a trauma thing for while they were here. He couldn't know that it wasn't for sure yet, but having Oliver ask him to pick something that permanent felt good, and made Edwin's stomach do excited little flip-flops.
Oliver speaking up made him realize that he had also gotten lost in thought, and he smiled as he shifted again, this time straddling Oliver's back so he could start drawing swirls and designs in and around the tattoo in question. He kept the camera close to his chest, trained on the swooping lines he kept adding. "You don't have to commission me, baby. I can just draw you something because I think you're neat," he said playfully. "Pass that thing when you're done?" He nodded towards the joint in Oliver's hand, even though he couldn't see it. "Plus, I think you already offered to be my sugar daddy, so it'd be weird if I charged you for art," he snorted.
