Who: Kai & Scotty Where: The Lounge When: Late morning
It wasn't like Scotty hadn't noticed the absence of his neighbor. He liked Kai, and he did wonder what the hell it meant that she wasn't there, but her room was, with her door still open the way she liked it. It just lacked the cute pink haired chick. Scotty wondered if maybe he should have reacted to it more when he realized that she was missing, but he never did. It wasn't like he had a damn clue of what to do about it, and, well... Other things had happened at the same time. Things that, unfortunately for Kai, were a little more important to Scotty. Even if he didn't know what to do about those things, either.
Or rather, he didn't know what to do about them past his initial reaction of trying to strangle Tobias. He still hadn't decided if he regretted trying that or not. It had made the guy become a recluse, and honestly, that was probably the best he could have hoped for.
Kai wasn't on his mind when he returned to his room after his morning trip to the gym. He had thought about her this morning, what with the whole video thing, and the card bullshit that he didn't really understand, but his thoughts kept drifting to his dad and that whole situation while he worked out. The past few days, he'd work out until adrenaline made him want to punch something, and then past that, until he was too fatigued to actually hunt someone down to do so. Today was the same, and he headed back to his room feeling somewhat drained.
His plans to go vedge in the bathtub were put on hold when he headed back to his room, and walked into the lounge to find that shock of pink hair waiting on one of the couches. He didn't know why that brightened his mood, but it did. Maybe it was just because she was familiar. And he did think that she was cool. Had she been here the day he'd gotten that fucking scavenger hunt? Had she weighed in? He couldn't remember, and he chose to proceed like she was still a friend.
"Oh snap," he said as he rounded the couch. "It's cool to see you again. I'd give you a hug, but I'm drippy." He tugged at his sweaty shirt with one hand, but extended the other. "Fist bump?" he offered instead, figuring it was the least gross way to say hi again.
