She tired to take a breath like Edwin suggested, but sucking in a breath just made her even more jittery. She didn't want to be here. She just wanted to go to her room and not come out. She wanted to disappear.
“JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T PUNCH ANYONE DOESN’T MEAN IT DIDN’T HURT!” Lucy yelled suddenly, pushing herself away from Pam for just a moment and stomping forward, gesturing wildly at the man. “YOU CANT JUST COME INTO A PLACE AND JUST GRAB AT PEOPLE! NICE PEOPLE DON’T DO THAT.”
Lucy was breathing so hard that her shoulders were moving with each inhale and exhale. Her temples were throbbing, and her hands were tingling with panic. She wanted to pace, and yell, and cry. She was bursting with adrenaline, and wanted desperately in that moment to throw something at the man. “DO WHAT EVERYONE ELSE DOES AND YOU COME OUT AND YOU ASK QUESTIONS YOU UNCIVILIZED MEAN JERK DUMBY!” She stomped her foot again, in half tantrum, as her hands came up to push more tears away.
