Audrey had been watching the confrontation taking place a floor below on her computer, evaluating both of the newcomers. She debated messaging Felix to get a side bet going on whether or not Pam would mace the new guy, but when it looked like neither of them were able to do anything to de-escalate the situation, she decided to step in. Not that her plan was necessarily to de-escalate it, but she was afraid the small woman he was holding hostage was about to have a coronary if she didn't get loose - and maybe she had a small soft spot for women who couldn't defend themselves. She dropped a quick line to Felix and headed out.
She was already partway down the stairs when Pam screamed, and hit the third floor to see Pam slapping the newcomer while Lucy squirmed. She used both of those things as a distraction on her approach until she was suddenly there, striking fast to pull his restraining arm down and away. Audrey knew the score - in a purely physical strength match up, she'd never be able to hold her own against a much bigger opponent, even if she was much more fit than average. It was why she'd chosen the two martial arts to master that she had - both krav maga and aikido focused heavily on speed and reflexes than strength. She didn't need to judo throw anyone around - all she needed was a little momentum and a solid joint lock, which she went for with Joe, locking his wrist and elbow joints as she grabbed him. She twisted to get him away from the wall and Pam and Lucy both, using her leverage to get him on the ground.
"Pick on someone your own size, eh mate?" she said. "I get that you're upset and we want to help, but menacing a woman so much smaller than you isn't the way to do it. So if you agree to play nice, I'll let you go and we'll answer any questions you want to ask. Sound good?"
