Scotty let go of Tobias and took a step back. He recognized that Tobias was scared, but that wasn't why he had dropped the guy. It was the Drano thing. The scavenger hunt had made it a point to highlight the Drano, and the way that Tobias said that his dad would have used it was weird. It still felt wrong. Scotty was sure that his dad wouldn't do something like that. But he was pretty sure that it wasn't something that Tobias could just come up with under pressure, with Scotty standing over him and shaking him like that. So... what then?
He paced for a moment, his hands on his head as he tried to reason that, but quickly enough he had turned back to Tobias, face twisted with so many emotions that he couldn't really pick one. "Did you make up this scavenger hunt?" If he had, it would have given him more time to come up with the Drano thing. He grabbed the photos back from Tobias, waving them in his face before shoving them back in his pocket. He got closer to Tobias then, like yelling in his face could intimidate him into getting this right. "What is this? None of you even know him. He wouldn't do any of that, and you're a fucking liar. Okay? Yo, he's a cop, and that makes him a good guy. Fuck, he's better than every fucking one of you assholes who's been fucking in here! You're wrong. You're wrong!"
