"I mean, I'm not an expert on snow sculpture," Dylan protested with a laugh, sipping from her thermos, "but I did grow up in Chicago. Didn't you say you were from somewhere down south? Is this like, the most snow you've ever seen?" Sure, she knew just being from the south didn't mean someone had never seen snow before, but vacationing somewhere snowy wasn't the same as actually dealing with it on a day to day basis.
"Okay okay," she said, laughing again when he struck his poses. "Hold that one, I can work with it." She shimmied a few steps back, out of his eyeline, and bent to start furiously packing several snowballs. She put her thermos out of the way, gathering her spares in her free hand, and lobbed one at him that hit square in the middle of his back. "How about that?!" she called, then immediately began dance-dashing towards whatever cover she could find.
