Again, Pam hummed to herself, this time going over Kiley's response. "You're probably a little too young to have been into Spice Girls, aren't you?" she asked, squinting over at Kiley and trying to remember if Kiley had told her her age at any point. She wanted to ask about Disney songs, because she didn't believe that Kiley was just against singing, but she let it go as she tried to recall what Shawshanking might be. It took her another moment to remember that the movie even existed. She had never seen it, but she had an idea of what Kiley meant all the same.
"I don't think it's a good idea to risk breaking our only source of light," she decided. "Plus I'd want to dig into the hatch, and for that we need to get back on each other's shoulders. I wish Oliver was here for something like that! He could lift us easily, or maybe even just reach himself. Oliver, for sure, though, and not Owen. Because now I am embarrassed."
