Pam knew that the outcome of being trapped down there meant they'd be stuck in a box that would eventually smell like pee and rooster poop, and hopefully just the rooster poop, but hearing it out loud made her full body cringe. Kiley's idea was a good one, though, and she focused on that rather than how terrible it would be to have to stay here until who even knew when. "Yeah, let's do that! I kind of wanted to try anyway. No offense, I know you pressed on it just fine, but, like, I still want to try too, you know?"
She hopped up, even though she wasn't sure that Kiley meant right that second. She had mentioned that maybe it unlocked every hour, and maybe an hour had gone by since they had last checked? It was impossible to tell in the dark. Maybe it had been longer. She was confident that it had been more than half an hour, at least. How long had they spent just pressing on walls?
