"No, no, don't make him angry, or he'll get all scratchy," Pam said of the rooster, still hoping that the fact that they were in a dark box would put the thing back to sleep once it stopped it's morning crow. God, she hoped, because even she was over the crowing already.
She went a little bit wide-eyed at Kiley's plan, her hands going to her hips. "Um, excuse me. I'll lift you up, but you are absolutely not leaving me down here to go find somebody. You'll just need to reach down a little, I can pull myself out once I can reach the ledge, thank you very much," she protested. Even if she couldn't she didn't like the idea of having to rely on Kiley to go find someone and come back. Anything could happen to either one of them in that time, and that was ignoring the fact that Kiley might leave her down there longer than necessary, just because Kiley.
Despite that, she still crouched down, making it easy for Kiley to get in position to get on her shoulders. Pam thought that she was pretty strong, and her job had her wrestling with big dogs all the time, but as she tried to find her footing, she realized that she was maybe a little bit out of practice from being here for months already. "Okay, be quick," she huffed once she got Kiley up and near the hatch.
