"We'd look bad to everyone," Audrey countered, shaking her head. "I think some of the old group are still suspicious of us, given how our arrival more or less coincided with increased trouble in the house. If we play dumb, no matter how we rationalize it, anyone in the old group who wonders about us will be sure to share that information with the new people or more of the old. It's too much potential blowback from both sides. I'd prefer not to risk that."
She hummed thoughtfully, watching the group on the feeds. Didn't look like any clear leaders in that bunch, or at least no one who was making moves yet. "I'd also like to take a couple days before putting ourselves in there, but I'd like a more immediate plan of action in case we're cut off from our hideouts or our reappearance is made public." She pointed to the note. "It says here we have 24 hours to make a plan - I wouldn't put it past them to dump us all somewhere very conspicuous tomorrow morning, or note that we've been placed in the house on the network."
"I don't know that I'd want to mess with them immediately," she continued, one finger on her lips as she thought. "If there's trouble and then we show up, it puts us in a similar position with them as it did with the first group. I think if we can stay hidden a few days longer, I'd just want to use that as a means of gathering intel. Then we show up after they've settled in a little, and maybe play the shell-shocked survivors of this experiment's first run. Why were we brought back? We don't know. Oh how sad it is that everyone in our first group is probably dead. We'll do our best to help this new group get through it, etcetera etcetera. Then when they return, joyous reunion. If we can facilitate the merge of the two groups with minimal trouble - or at least look like we're trying - we stand to gain a lot of clout with both groups, and it's a prime opportunity to stir the pot between them without looking like we're doing just that."
