Unfortunately for Allison, he can smell the nervous energy rolling off of her in waves. And truthfully, he kind of hates it, because he knows he's mostly--if not all--the cause of it. He resists the threatening wince when she asks that because holy wow did it sound like a proposition, but--
"Mine works." It's closer, and he knows for sure he has no roommate and he isn't entirely sure about that on her end, so, it seems safer this way. He spins around and leads the way back inside, letting out a long, silent breath.
He doesn't stall, though. He leads her right to his room and slips inside, waiting until she's in to shut--and lock, just to be safe--the door behind her. "I just-- need to explain some things and-- and I think um...I think it'll put some things into some kind of perspective for you. Maybe. I hope, at least. And I'm just...going to apologize ahead of time for overwhelming you." Because that part? Is inevitable, considering what she does and doesn't remember.
