Rey moved instinctively, pulling the dish in front of her closer as though afraid someone might take it from her. She knew it wasn't necessary, and it was probably rude, but deeply ingrained habits were hard to break.
"Sorry," she murmured with a half-smile, forcing her shoulders to relax. "I've just never eaten anything like it." The little disks with the creamy centers she'd found in the wreck she'd discovered and repaired had been sweet, but had the odd consistency of the dehydrated foods meant to last out in space.
