"No, we had a spat, but it's better now." Something flashed behind her eyes, an image of Gavin leaning over her, his face close, kissing her, but that image was followed by one of those sharp pains in her head, then forgotten as soon as it had come along. Something in her brain refused to allow her to process anything else, not the living with Gavin bit, not anything that didn't go along with the idea that she was with Trevor and entirely happy. "It was silly. We were both being silly, but it's all better now."
She smiled at him and gave him another squeeze. "Speaking of, you should go shopping with me! I don't know what my problem is but I've barely gotten any Christmas shopping done. Would you like to come with? We haven't been shopping in a long, long time."
