"Nothing to be scared about," she said as she squeezed his hand. Of course, the ultrasound could reveal that there was a problem somewhere, but she wasn't even going to let her mind go down that route. Nothing could be wrong with her baby.
"Heeey guys," the peppy blonde tech with the name tag that said her name was Melissa said as she walked in and smiled. "Let's get a look at the little one, shall we?"
Rhiannon shifted, turning to watch the screen where the baby would show up even though it hadn't started yet.
"Now this is going to be cold," Melissa said as she distributed some gel onto Rhiannon's stomach, pushed some buttons, picked up the transducer, and began to smoothly glide it over her stomach. Rhiannon blinked, her eyes widening as she heard what sounded like something underwater, then the black and white image of their baby appeared on the screen.
Rhiannon covered her mouth with one hand and squeezed Tristan's hand with the other.
