Mocha, afternoon, Andras and Fin
The line was long, but Fin didn't mind.

He just stood in it and thought beautiful thoughts - mostly about cookies.

Andras walked in, reading something on his iPad.

"Oh, Fin," he says, joining him in the queue. "Great to see you! Look at this."

There was an article about J. Edgar Hoover open on the iPad.

Fin craned his neck. "Bastard," he said. "I honestly think we ought to make his business in the City more widely known."

"Yep," Andras said, smiling brightly at the woman in the queue behind Fin. "If he's still newsworthy, then his having been here is as well."

The woman surreptitiously craned her neck and wrinkled her nose, probably not finding the man all that interesting. The, she looked at the ceiling, pretending not to be ogling, or annoyed at having been queue-jumped, or perhaps both.

Fin rolled an eye at the sniff. "Shall we try Newsweek?" he asked.

"Yes," Andras said. "Let's think big on this one. Make a really big splash. I mean, some of our pictures are really spectacular, especially seen together. Not everything that's interesting has to happen in New York, Washington, or LA."

"Hell no," Fin said, head tilted as he read the article. "Can you email me the URL I'd like to quote from that. It's a bit - elegaic, isn't it?"

"I guess they think that's the way of writing about historical personages," Andras said.

He sent the URL to Fin right away so he wouldn't forget it.

"But that's all from books and well-known sources," he then said. "We have pictures nobody has seen before!"

"Tea?" the girl at the counter asked. It was their turn.

"I would like a latte and a maple pecan cookie, please," Fin asked, "And whatever he wants."

Provided with food and drink they ambled across to a table and Fin sat down. "So how are you enjoying the new toy?" he asked with a nod at the iPad.

Andras sat as well.

"It's not a computer," he said. "And not quite a magazine. But it's good for looking at things, or listening to them, and finding answers and the like. Flashy for showing off pictures, too."

Andras laughed. "That's a fun use for an iPad," he said. "Variable display in a shirt."

Andras ponders.

"For that, there's that old low-tech solution known as pen and paper," he says.
