Allan bit the inside of his cheek thoughtfully. "You know what I'd like," he said. "I'd like to spend some proper time watching him. See how he is with other horses, not just how he puts on a show for us. See how he rolls. Watch him scratching his ass on a fence. See how he covers a mare. See what he does when the days are hot and there's nothing to do." He stared at her, his expression intense and indeed he was desperate to get his meaning across and hoped she'd understand. "All those things need to be there in the bronze, not just the speed and power and beauty of him. I could show you what I mean at my workshop. I've got a piece there, almost finished, where I got it." His fist clenched. "I got it - and I want to get it for your stallion."
