"Nice idea," Charlie said and stooped to pick up a candy wrapper. "The old apprentice system had a lot to be said for it. I guess giving a kid a job for a month or so would mean at least they had something to put on their CV at the end of it. Come to that it might mean they have CV's rather than rap sheets." he sighed. "If only it was that simple. I guess we could set up something though. Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays and evenings are already committed for the whole of the summer. I need a couple of days a week to do the paperwork. I guess I could maybe do that at weekends and do - I dunno - a bit of practical electrics on a Monday."
