It was off the beaten track, away from the midway and the rides. This was no place for children and it was quickly apparent why.... Gone were the little shorts and the simple top Jazz been wearing, replaced now by sstrategic swatches black and red lace. The ratty sneakers had been exchanged for dangerous heels that she, somehow, looked just as ease in.
She moved around the hawker as he spoke, fingertips trailing over his waist, up his arm as she turned coy, ink colored eyes on the crowd.
"...Guaranteed to put a rise in your Levis. And guys, if you get in line right now, you can get right up front, right up in bald-head row where you put your elbows on the stage and you look right up and see the whole, and complete show. This is the only show on the midway with a love act in the back...."
She smiled, turning her mostly exposed body away shyly, and crooked a finger at the crowd, encouraging them to step up and purchase their tickets.
Whatever she really felt about what was going on, she was careful not to show it.
