The driver pulled out and they were soon on their way out of the City and into the countryside beyond. He talked a bit about the Cartwrights and their horses - though he didn't go into to much detail as befitting a good employee - and it made the drive go quickly. Soon enough they were going along the drive towards a massive house.
But they didn't stop there. Instead the car continued past the house and down another drive towards the stables. As they got out the driver looked past to the doorway of the closest stable and smiled.
"Miss Cartwright," he said. "Allan Kinyon. He - er -didn't want to sit in the back."
"Thanks, Paul," Chloe said as she approached. She was dressed in jeans and a soft and obviously well worn flannel shirt. Her boots came up to cover her calf and were muddy and also obviously well used and her long, dark hair was pulled up in a pony tail. "Mr. Kinyon," she said, wiping her hand on her leg and then extending it, "I'm Chloe Cartwright. Thank you for coming out."
