He reached up and put a hand on the arms around shoulders, leaning his head back and looking up at Charlie. He knew Charlie well, could read him like a book most of the time. And he knew now that something was wrong.
So he saved his work and tugged Charlie around to sit him in his lap, arms around his waist.
