It was freezing cold but there was still so much to be done. There were injured - though the worst were being taken out by medics. Jason and what seemed to be every guard in the Manor were helping to move the rubble, sometimes finding more injured beneath the steel and snow.
Deacon was worried about Charlie - who in swim trunks and a thin shirt had to be freezing - but his thoughts were derailed as he moved a girder across the hot tub and the snow shifted.
The water beneath was red.
Heartbeat speeding up Deacon began shoveling snow away until he found the source of the color of the water.
"Oh God," he groaned then shouted above the noise. "Help! We need a doctor over here!"
