"Ooh dear," Charlie washed his brush and slid his palette into a large plastic bag and twisted it closed. He got up and stepped behind her, putting his hands on her shoulders, his thumbs at the back of her neck. She was so tense under his hands she was almost vibrating.
"Hmm, a drink. Soda? Tea? Coffee might be a bad idea."
