She winced half expecting him to do something more than throw his hands up and yell. He'd said he cared about her, why wasn't that enough? Because it wasn't her he was choosing. It wasn't her he wanted to be with and it hadn't been for a while. That's why he wasn't around; why she hadn't seen him.
"I should've never went along with this. Should've said what I thought and faced it then." She mumbled. "Nine months of seeing you off and on. I know there were others just like you know I had others. And just the same, I only had to face two of yours and you only had to face two of mine."
She was rambling now but she thought there was a point to it all. "I just thought that maybe... Maybe you'd have wanted to keep me." Tears threatened again and she sat on the edge of his couch, no longer content to pace or argue with him. He'd made up his mind, and she couldn't change it; hadn't he already said that?
