They finished eating and Deacon helped clear up then they got bundled up and headed out into the snow. For a good half hour they played, making a snowman, throwing snowballs at Charlie and then Deacon, and making snow angels. Eventually though Nia was getting cold and tired and so they came in put her in the bath and by the time they go to the story she was already nearly asleep.
Snuggled between Deacon and Charlie, with Charlie reading, she hugged Brian and hummed her sleepy song until her eyes fell shut and, with a smile, Deacon eased her down and tucked her in.
