The facade of toughness crumbled when the cool blade of the knife touched the skin of her neck. She tensed and held her chin up, and couldn't hold back the little whimper of pain when the knife drew blood. There was nothing she could say - at least nothing that wouldn't make them even angrier - so she remained quiet apart from the disgusted noise she made at the other man taking a bit of an advantage of her.
Then suddenly she was left alone, and there she stayed leaning against the side of her car watching the men walk away. Her heart was beating so hard she felt it was almost bursting out of her chest, and inevitably she was thinking that maybe... maybe she shouldn't be with a guy like Smith.
Once she couldn't see the men anymore, she turned the keys around in her shaking hands and opened the doors of her car. Once inside, she sat behind the wheel with the doors locked for a good ten to fifteen minutes trying to calm herself.
