Dojo; Afternoon; D and Chas
There weren't belt rankings in kickboxing so Deacon was one of the few instructors at the dojo that didn't wear a belt. But one lesson with him and any student he had knew he was the real deal.

Today he was between lessons and Charlie had come buy so it was the perfect time to show him around. Dressed in pants from a karate uniform and a singlet he guided Charlie around.

"It's nothing fancy," he said.

	"It looks fine to me," Charlie murmured, then realised he was being called upon to look at the dojo rather than Deacon. He grinned and looked around. "It's nice," he said. "Not fancy, no, but it looks - workmanlike. Looks like they have spent their money on good staff and equipment rather than spiffy decor." (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Deacon winked at him then headed to greet the young man that was entering. He was a tall kid, no more than sixteen, but it didn't take long to see he had real talent. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Really fit people - really fit - had a way of moving that made Charlie sigh. The youth moved like he was weightless, his slim whippy frame floating across the crash mats as Deacon put him through his warm up routine. But to Charlie's eyes he was gauche and ungainly in comparison to Deacon's controlled power. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Warm ups then Deacon began putting him through a series of punches and kicks, at times doing them along with the kid as they watched themselves in the mirror. Then it was time for actual sparring. For now they wore protective pads and the sound of fists and feet connecting with the padding filled the room. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	The kid eventually ended up on the ground and Deacon stood over him. For a moment they just looked at each other then Deacon chuckled, the kid laughed, and Deacon reached down to help him up. "Doin' good," he said, slapping the kid on the arm. "Take a break, get a drink." The kid nodded and headed off and Deacon came over to Charlie with a grin. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

You look at home and Mr Yuen grinned at me and gave me a thumbs up when I arrived and muttered something about more ladies making enquiries so I think he's happy too." Since nobody seemed to be looking, Charlie allowed himself a mini-schmoop.

"Well of course," he said. "I've never understood these people who get lovely ripped body and only use it for posing - like young Del Avilar. With muscles like yours it's a real pity not to give them good regular workouts and," he smiled, "between kick-boxing and me I think you'll manage to get them all."
