Sterrin took the woman's hand and shifted through her brain quickly and efficiently, taking in the memories and thoughts as though they were her own. She saw this woman's thoughts of Max, those that she was sure Max would find quite amusing if he were to know the plans this woman had for him.
The woman was also pregnant, although it wasn't Max's, though the woman would very much like to paint that picture.
"Forgive me," Sterrin said with a friendly smile, all innocence. "But are you pregnant?" She laughed. "I know that's a horribly forward question, but my nanny when I was pregnant always gained weight in her hands first." She smiled, the woman's hand still in hers. "Unless your jewelry is just too tight?"
