Eli in the mail room, Monday evening
He'd called his sister earlier today when he went in to do paperwork. In and out of briefings today meant that he'd missed her call back. Now that he was home, checking his mail and relatively alone, he called her back. "Liz, hey. I need a favor. Grab a pen and paper."
He put his key in the box and opened it. "Good. I'm giving you a fax number. Send them a copy of your birth certificate and social security card. I'm making you my soul beneficiary for the time being and my CO wants proof you're a relative."
Pulling a couple envelopes out of the box he sat them on the table to sort through. "Keep it on the D-L though because I haven't asked her yet." He chucked a flier into the recycle bin and prayed Bea didn't come through the door now. "I know you'll make sure she's taken care of if anything happens. We're not engaged yet and I'm leaving in a month. Yeah. I'll write to you about it when it happens." Eli was speaking in hushed tones and his sister was laughing at him for it. Well, that and not having enough balls to propose to Bea yet. "Yes, I'll behave Liz. Yeah I love you too. Bye."
