Lysette laughed again, loud and genuine, both at the flower and his comment. "Secret's safe with me," she promised just as Isabella walked in the door carrying a tray with a hospital cup and straw and some chocolate and vanilla ice cream in a bowl.
"I got you some ice cream too, while I was at it," she said as she moved the bed tray over Lysette's lap. "And it sounded like you two were having all sorts of fun in here."
"Mmm, yes," Lysette said with a smile as she picked up the spoon with one delicate hand. "Thank you, dear. Del always tells the best secrets after you've gone."
