Jo murmured something groggily, then lifted her face a couple inches off the surface of the table. At the sight of Jack, she smiled sleepily and whispered a hoarse, little, "Hello." Pulling herself up in her chair, she yawned catlike and stretched her arms in front of her, then rubbed her face, trying to get the blood circulating so she could stay awake.
Even then, she had to support her head with her hand to keep it upright.
"Hey, Curly-Sue, this is a coffee shop. People come here to stay awake," Joy said, her death glare now fixed on Johanna.
