"It isn't exactly rocket science, Niles." She said, not making direct eye contact with him. "You don't strike me as the type of guy to be concerned about hurting another guy's feelings." She shrugged. It wasn't like she said flat out he was sleeping with whoever it was he'd offended. He said he'd hurt a friend and he wasn't sure they could continue being friends. She'd always kept "friends" as friends as a sort of fall back option. "You can't always please everybody, so why not be happy yourself for a change." She said then hoped it didn't sound as much like her mother's voice to him as it had to her.
