Apt. 12221, Night, Thomas and Jazz
Three different women on three different occasions with the same emotional reaction by Jazz each time. That had to say something didn't it? Something she'd been trying to deny, but couldn't hide from anymore.
Obviously she'd been wrong to think she could distance herself from her feelings on the matter; she couldn't pretend anymore, especially not when he was bringing his conquests back here, to the apartment building they shared, where she'd have to hear about them from the maids and Joy, or worse, where she'd have to see them herself.
It was time she faced the facts and accepted reality.
He wouldn't choose her. He never did. He only came to her after because - well, because she figured he did care about her, in his own way. Just...not enough to ever consider how she might think or feel about something before he did it. The simple truth of it was, she cared about him a hell of a lot more than he did her.
So, what did a woman wear when she was 99.8 percent certain she was going to her heart broken? In Jazz's case it was a simple white lace and silk top and a pair of warm, chocolate brown leather pants. Those she paired with a set of high-heeled leather boots that made her feel more confident than she actually was. When she finally felt like she was prepared physically if not emotionally, she left her apartment and took the elevator up to twelve.
With a deep breath she lifted her hand and knocked on the door to 12221, hoping as she waited that he wasn't already out looking for 'company.'
