"Sometimes I don't know what you're thinking," she began, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door, to which she rolled her eyes and sighed, "and then someone turns up out of the blue and I think just sometimes it might be nice if we had time to discuss these little issues. She knew her tone was perhaps a little short, and she was hoping it wasn't just some random person knocking on the door to borrow something, or pass on some gossip.
