Emma had danced with several people, including the Groom, and apparently his father, but now she was slowly making her way into the gardens, carefully carrying a glass of champagne, not sparkling water. She still wasn't entirely sure how she'd managed it, but this was her third glass, and she figured drinking it somewhere less obvious would be a good idea.
Of course, then she caught the tang of smoke in the air, and realised someone else was already there in the shadows, and they'd probably seen the glass, so she kept going, intending to brazen it out. She took a sip, smiled, and quietly greeted whoever it was, "Evening."
