There were advantages to having a sommelier for an uncle, especially one that worked in same events as you did. That meant that Lucas, being 20 years old now, could still get a beer if he wanted one. He did not go about boasting with his good fortune, though, but took the beer into the gardens at around half past ten in the evening when Emily had let him go from working in the wedding buffet, and enjoyed it there with a much needed smoke.
He wondered if Emma would be around. Then he thought that if she was, she'd probably be flirting with blokes of his uncle's age, if she wasn't actually accompanied by Niles the sugardaddy or what ever he was to her.
