Re: Bar and Buffet with Tables.
It had been a long day, but in the evening when the party was already in full swing Emily peeked out of the back rooms, dressed in her white chef's jacket, black trousers and her heavy working shoes, with only very light make up and her hair wrapped in a ponytail. The wedding breakfast had gone marvellously well and now the reception's buffet was set up and already topped up. The chef felt relieved. Most of the work was now done, and successfully too.
Lucas, also wearing his chef's whites, was idly finishing up some cleaning in the back rooms. Emily turned to him and waved her hand at him.
"Go on then. I know you want to go and chase girls," she said with a smile and let the boy go.
"Cheers, chef. Just what I wanted to hear," he answered with a grin and took off to change.
Emily, however, gathered a bit of food from the scraps of the buffet trays on a plate, poured herself a glass of white wine, and settled with them alone on a table in a corner of the ballroom near the backroom door. There the chef sat eating and smiling as she watched the party go on, and admired the beautiful bride and the charming groom.
