The Dance floor, First Dance, Then Party on Down!
The DJ let the record fade out and introduced the band, ready for the first dance, then they had to wait while Spencer and Roxy made their way to the dance floor and out into the middle of it. Spencer was never so glad of learning to dance, able to relax and enjoy the moment rather than worrying about his feet.
The lights lowered and the band started as the happy couple made their way to the dance floor. Roxy knew the train of her dress was safely up due to the nifty wrist strap built in, but that didn't stop her from worrying she'd forget the steps or worse yet - trip over her own two feet. Perhaps she shouldn't have drunk the last glass of champagne?
The notes to the song were soothing to her and they calmed the nervousness that had bubbled up in the walk out to the dance floor. Spencer lead their dance, leaving her time to be silently grateful for the dancing they'd practiced in this same ballroom at the very beginning of their relationship. Things seemed to always come around full circle, she mused as they spun around on the floor. Seeing his confident smile she felt her own radiate the same confidence.
As the song wound down, their family and friends that had gathered around applauded and Roxy waved them out to the dance floor. There must be dancing at weddings!
