Kobol Construction Site, Wednesday Afternoon, Phin & Bridget's npc brother Neil
Neil had had a lengthy conversation with Bridget over a cup of coffee at lunch with Bridget. She had told him all about what had happened on Sunday at the Rec center. Up until now, Neil had stayed as supportive but on the sidelines as possible when it came to Bridget and Phin's current situation. When he had first met Phin, he'd warned that guy that if he hurt Bridget, he would kill him. Thus far he hadn't made good on the threat. But Bridget was hurting and though normally Brad was the more physically defensive brother, Neil couldn't stand it anymore. Phin was getting off easy in his opinion and that couldn't happen anymore. So Neil decided to pay his soon to be ex-brother in law a visit. He could only witness his baby sister's world falling apart so much before he an inanimate punching bag just wasn't enough to release his anger.
When he'd driven over to Phin's construction site, he'd parked a block away and had anxious drummed on his steering wheel. Bridget wouldn't approve of him pounding on Phin, but Neil was required to do such a thing by right. It was the kind of thing a big brother would do. Then again, Neil's fists were dangerous weapons and he knew they could do major, even permanent damage. Should he just go home? He should just go home. No. He was not going home. Phin was going to get a piece of his mind, and some parts of his knuckles. After debating with himself for twenty minutes, Neil got climbed out of his car and wandered onto the construction site. After some convincing, one of the workers brought him to Phin's trailer and then went to get Phin from wherever he was on site.
Phin was confused when Tommy had approached and told him that his brother-in-law was in his trailer. The first thing that came to mind was that something had happened to Bridget or the kids, so Phin had dropped his clipboard and gone running through the site to his trailer. He threw the door open and leapt inside, out of breath. "What's wrong?" He asked hurriedly.
Neil almost felt bad when he realized that Phin thought there was an accident of some kind. Almost. He stood up silently, reaching up to run his hand along his chin a moment as he stepped up right in front of Phin. He narrowed his eyes at Phin and stared him down a moment before reeling back and landing a swift punch to the gut. Phin doubled over, the wind knocked out of him and grunting as he tried to catch his breath. Neil leaned over, balling up the back of Phin's collar in his fist. He inhaled a deep breath to keep from going ballistic. "You remember what I told you when I met you?" He asked in a deep, gruff, angry calm tone, jaw set tight. Phin was panting, gasping to catch his breath as Neil pulled him up into a mostly standing position. He let go of Phin's collar and then stepped back. He balled up his fist and swung, this time clocking Phin in the right cheekbone.
The force of the punch nearly spun Phin around, his head snapped to the left and he fell backwards into the chair across from his desk, knocking things about the trailer. Neil leaned over and grabbed him with both hands by the shirt collar to pull him back up. Phin put his hands out defensively on Neil's arms by his shoulders to try and put distance between them. "I'll refresh your memory. I said if you hurt her, I'll kill you." He was practically growling he was so angry. Phin tried to speak to defend himself but he couldn't do it since between the gut check and the left hook, he was reeling. Neil let go with one hand and swung a fist at Phin's gut again, which elicited a gasp of air and groan. Neil grabbed a frame from Phin's desk and held it up to Phin's face. "These kids are the only thing stopping me from making good on my word." He said as he let Phin go. Phin landed on the floor with a clatter and rolled on his side, holding his stomach. He tried to say Neil's name but was too busy gasping.
Neil sneered at Phin and then did something he never did in a fight situation, which was to plant his left foot and swing his right foot right into Phin's side, mangling up Phin's hand in the process and drawing blood. He walked closer and glared down at Phin. "My sister deserves a man, not a lying, cheating coward." He spat out. Fists clenched and ready to start swinging and not stop, Neil turned around on his heel and stalked out of the trailer, through a few people who had gathered outside upon hearing the commotion. He stalked his way back to his car, climbed in and drove to the gym. He needed a sparring partner...or to beat the crap out of a punching bag, or possibly both.
