Gavin sat up straighter in Alec's arms, pushing down a little on his father's ball cap as he eyed the strange new lady warily.
"Oh, huh," Alec was caught a little off guard by the sudden question, but recovered well. "Around six months now." Bracing the boy against his hip Alec shifted the baby and pushed his cap back up.
"Six months going on two years," he said in a wry, but goodhearted sort of way.
