He looked at her with surprise. "Well he wants a good job doesn't he," he said. "Could get it done today, possibly, if we work really late."
"How late?" Charlie asked.
"Midnight probably," the builder said.
"It's okay," Charlie said, thinking why pay the inevitable over-time bonus when they could finsih the job off tomorrow. "I have a commitment tonight," he invented, "but I can be here tomorrow at six to let you in if you'd like an early start.".
