Of course he felt guilty. He was Stone. Anyway, he'd been completely clothed, in a bathing suit, as has Lis. He'd neglected, however, to get a chance to tell Lara this in any of his e-mails to her. He just figured he could explain it and rectify the situation over dinner.
"I brought veggie dip." He said. "And other veggie-only foods." he held the bag up and waited for her to get to the door before he leaned over to kiss her forehead. "Not being at work was okay. I had class earlier. And a final meeting with the landlord to finish signing all the paperwork." He said.
"Then I came back here and now you're home and here we are." Rambling was a sure sign that Stone felt guilty, even though technically he'd done nothing wrong...y'know since they'd gone to the hot tub on the roof. He did have a thing or two he wanted to ask her about in light of the e-mails though. That could wait until later though.
